These 3 products come from Golden Software, and are now the easiest, most powerful and economical way to graph data in 2 or more dimensions, surpassing in ease of use their old-fashioned competitors. They are useful in all scientific or engineering disciplines, and in any business application where you want to get away from the tiresome constraints of Excel.
Grapher, Surfer and Voxler are 3 of the products produced by Golden Software, Colorado.
Voxler combines a multitude of data sources into a brilliant display of data points, DEM height field surfaces, data isosurfaces, contour maps and oblique image slices at any angle, and much more!
They all use modern object-based programming techniques to create 2, 3 or multi-dimensional images from data. This programming style means you can modify the graphs by just changing the property of an object on the screen. Use a wizard to create graphs if you wish, but you will probably find the menus and object inspectors are more convenient.
You use Grapher to create mostly 2-dimensional plots (selected from 30 types) or easy 3D plots. Where you need contouring and 3D surface maps with all the options for gridding, shading and adding images you need Surfer. And if you want the most powerful interactive 3D visualisation and rendering you need Voxler. If you are still using products that were the best in their class years ago, forget them! Golden Software products have overtaken their competition, and what's more they are great value.

Overview of this SeminarRay will have great fun demonstrating to you the different types of data presentation represented in these products, and showing you how you can with very little learning time create just the kind of graphs you want, and many others you never thought you would be able to do so easily.
If you have a favourite or difficult graph you would like Ray to create, send a data file and description to him a week or more before the seminar.
Highlights• Creation of several kinds of 2D and 3D plots• Use of graded fills to enhance appearance• Use of the object inspector to change the appearance of any part of the graph• Saving graph preferences in a template, to make it easy to reproduce the same appearance with different data• Use of the Scripter programming environment• Combining images and 3D graphs• Edit multiple graphs at the same time• Use of gridding tools so you can create 3D graphs• Interactively adjustable transparency when fitting surfaces to 4D data.
