New Reverse-Recovery Diode Model This new behavioral model of a generic reverse-recovery diode captures the dynamic phenomenon that can be observed when a forward biased diode is rapidly turned off. This allows you to take into account the resulting overvoltages and power dissipation, which can have an influence on the overall system dynamics.
Updated Machine Models The models for the induction machine, the salient-pole synchronous machine, and the round-rotor synchronous machine have been enhanced to include saturation effects. In addition, the Machines library has been complemented with a squirrel-cage induction machine and an induction machine with open stator windings.
Library Links Libraries enable you to ensure that the custom components or masked subcircuits used in your circuit are always up-to-date. Or, the other way round, if you are developing your own custom components you can create a library to ensure that changes you make to your component models are automatically propagated to a user's circuit upon loading.
Custom Probe Signals Define probe signals for your own custom components or masked subcircuits! These signals are provided to the PLECS Probe when you drag the components into the probe editor.
Additional Signal and Control Blocks The Signals & Systems library now contains a Constant block and a 1D and 2D Lookup Table. The PLECS Extras library contains new Simulink blocks for your control system, e.g. for computing the mean value or a fourier transform of a signal.
